The purpose of MACC’S Major Taylor Education Project is to disseminate information and create awareness about World Champion Cyclist Major Taylor. Through the efforts of our team, MACC has accumulated a collection of books and literature on the life of Major Taylor. The collection is open to the cycling community for further Major Taylor historical research.
The Major Taylor Project coordinates middle and high school Black History month presentations on the life and times of Major Taylor. Click here to view the project’s accomplishments in 2019. In addition, the project coordinates the Major Taylor Birthday Ride held annually in November.
