Metro Atlanta Cycling Club partnered with Free Bikes for Kids and Arbor Station Elementary for a fun family event. Each over 40 children were fitted with a brand new bicycle helmet, water bottle, bag and then taught about; starts & stops, scanning for traffic, hand signals and dodging obstacals.
Then with the help of MACC members, Creekside HS volunteers & Arbor Station staff the students practiced their new skills on a fun ride around the school track where some were excited to learn how to ride for the first time WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS! The young smiles were priceless!
A BIG THANKS to Arbor Station Principal Felton and her staff, Free Bikes for Kids for generously donating 20 FREE BICYCLES for the raffle, Seay Felton Trial Lawyers, D’Amour Francis LLC, BAM Books-A-Million, D Barber, Acceptance Insurance and the Douglasville Fire Department.
