3 days, 200 miles, One Love - PRICELESS! It was a great time, had by all. Whether you stay in a hotel, camp out in the field or rent a bed in the dorm type shelter this is one biking adventure you would truly enjoy. The people are great and the food even better. I mean really, what ride have you been on where everyday they start you out with a home cooked breakfast (eggs, grits, pancakes, sausage, fruit, etc.…) and then nourish you with a home cooked dinner (chicken, salmon, short ribs, green beans, salads, corn on the cob, free beer etc.). And the roads, OMG they are fantastic! Bare minimum traffic and the beauty of nature surrounds your every turn (rolling hills, green pastures, wild flowers, 1’000 year old trees…).

Hot Chocolate was definitely needed
for this extra cold event! MACC
provided 14 bike Marshall's to escort
the 23,000+ walkers and runners
while monitoring the course
throughout the day. Participants
were excited about the run and very
welcoming to our presence.

MACC along with 350+ riders from across 25 states made history in Alabama honoring the 50th anniversary of the March on Selma by participating in the MBC 50th Anniversary Selma to Montgomery Bicycle Ride. The ride was organized by the of Montgomery, Alabama. Around 40 MACC and Dream Team members arrived in Montgomery the evening before and the morning of the ride.
Excitement and anticipation was in the air as we loaded the buses Saturday morning for the 55 mile ride to Selma where the ride would begin. We fellowshipped with bikers from many other clubs and political officials while reflecting on the importance of the ride and the greatness of those who endured Bloody Sunday and the March on Selma.
